Today I visited one of Stockholm's hidden treasures, the Hallwyl Museum. Even though it's in the center of the city, not that many people know about it. It was built 1893-1898 for the countess Wilhelmina von Hallwyl and her husband count Walther von Hallwyl. She was a collector, and when the palace was built she had already decided that it would eventually become a museum. She collected everything from art and porcelain to everyday objects used in the household. The palace is one of the most complete and well kept from this time, in the entire world.
