I just came back from the very cool exhibition Dance Machines at the Modern museum here in Stockholm. The exhibition combines pieces from the museums existing collection and new work created by Kraftwerk. Most of the art pieces were form the early 1900s and inspired by futurism and dadaism. The fascination of the machine is a recurring source of inspiration, also new ways of recomposing the world such as photography and film was important for the artists.
The 3D installation called 12345678 by Kraftwerk was really something special, very graphical and retro-modern. Go see it now, the opening tonight is free!
