This morning I had a sneak peak of the Yayoi Kusama exhibition at The Moderna Museet here in Stockholm. The show is called In Infinity and is the largest retrospective of her work ever shown in Sweden. The room in the photo is called Narcissus Garden and was originally created for the Venice Biennale in 1966. I didn't have much time so I just took a quick tour but it looked good. I've always liked Kusama. Most of her work is very playful and and visually pleasing, but it can be a bit hard to relate to on a more sensible level. I'm definitely going back for a more thorough look. Although I must say that the best exhibition I've ever been to at Moderna Museet was the Louise Bourgeois retrospective about 1,5 years ago. I still think about it. But that's probably because I'm a huge Bourgeois fan...
In Infinity opens to all on Saturday the 11th.
