I'm on the west coast visiting family for a few days. This morning we woke up to snowfall which reminded me about our trip to Iceland ealier this year. It's raw, rugged and beautiful and I wouldn't mind going back. We paid Blue Lagoon a visit, which I would definentely recommend. I don't have access to the photos at the moment but in time I will write a separate post about if for those of you contemplating a spa weekend getaway.

In general, Iceland is best seen by car and there are plenty of places to see and stay at, however it might be a good idea to pre-book during the high season. Reykjavik is adorable so set aside at least a full day for a visit. Religious or not, the church Hallgrimskirkja which was built over 41 years is architecturally rather significant and quite interesting.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

Love, Christine Deckert
