Yesterday, I had a 1981 Bordeaux for lunch. It is such a peculiar feeling, drinking something that was made before I even existed - call it cheating time, if you will. I was also surprised by a Pinot Gris Grand Cru from 2005. It was a good wine day, we all agreed. Simultaneously I'm reading a beautifully written book about traditional wine making in Georgia that I got from a dear friend for Christmas and I love it. So now I decided I have to go to Georgia to explore nature wines, the culture, the qvevris and the monastery's. You coming?
