Fashion Week is official over. This year the program was more sparse than usual. It feels like Swedish Fashion is somewhat in a period in between where young brands are on the rise while older more established designers are undergoing changes, and some are moving away or seeking collaborations. My favorites purely aesthetic were Whyred, Dagmar and J.Lindeberg. These collections delivered nothing unexpected but felt wearable and I liked both the design language and color tones. I'm sure I'll find many favorite pieces from these collections when autumn comes. As I'm not a big fan of the minimalistic black or nude look I was really happy to see a lot of colors in these collections! It feels like there will bee a colorful fall this year!
For my part, the exclamation point this week was delivered by jewelry designer Maria Nilsdotter. The collection it self was perhaps not stunning but the beautiful collaboration with a ballet dancer on the catwalk made the show!Personally, I was very attracted by the new brand NAND that showed for the first time at Fashion Talents fashionshow. The collection felt stylish, well designed with fine details and the garments looked fabulous on the models. The color scheme was quite to my taste and I loved the contrast of materials and structures. I will definitely be keeping an eye on this brand in the future! You can se the Fashion Talent show HERE!Photo: Elle.se
