A collaboration between the Swedish bed brand Videung and one of Stockholm’s most picturesque hotels, Hotel Skeppshomen, has birthed a unique initiative intending to focus on ways in which the hotel industry can develop in a more environmentally friendly manner. The result, the exclusive Videung suite, blends sustainability with timeless Scandinavian design, offering guests the opportunity to experience the sleeping comfort of the future.
Available from Spring 2025, the Videung Suite features a groundbreaking bed construction, made from natural, recyclable materials with a core of natural latex that adapts to your body.The modular design enables component replacement, which enhances the durability of the bed and lessens its environmental footprint. “Our vision has always been to create a bed that combines sustainability with the highest quality. The Videung Suite allows guests to experience the difference for themselves and understand why our product is considered one of the most innovative and beautiful on the market,” says Patrik Sandhu Wilén, founder of Videung.
The hotel, part of Nobis Hospitality Group, is situated on Skeppsholmen, a lush retreat in the heart of Stockholm, and occupies a historic building dating back to 1699. It is renowned for its commitment to integrating sustainable practices into both its operations and design. The hotel holds the Nordic Ecolabel and was developed in collaboration with the esteemed Stockholm-based architectural trio, Claesson Koivisto Rune. “We see the Videung suite as a natural extension of our work to create sustainable experiences for our guests. Through the collaboration with Videung, we can show how luxury and awareness can go hand in hand,” says Kristin Gärdström, hotel manager at Hotel Skeppsholmen.
