Dyson-PICK UP COLORS with Sainabou Chune for Rave Review

Written by Fashion Tales

Odalisque's beauty editor Elva Ahlbin had a chat with freelance hairstylist Sainabou Chune / MIKAs Looks.

E: Hi Sainabou, we have been able to join you for the photoshoot of Swedish upcycling brand Rave Review and seen your process for creating unique hair looks on the models.
Can you tell us a little about your thought process?

A: “We have worked with colour and texture to create simple looks with an edge. By, for example, picking up a shade in the hair or adding hair extensions, we have been able to produce very subtle details - small simple means are often enough to find that little extra.
We have worked to preserve the everyday and mundane in each model, but tried to find a dispute for each look. ”

E: What tools do you prefer to use when styling hair and why?
A: “In my profession, things should go fast and smoothly and it is important to work with the right tools - that's why I use Dyson. The tools are easy to clean, work on all hair types, are ergonomic and allow me to be time efficient.
Also - the last thing I want as a stylist is to damage someone's hair. The models we work with often sit in the chair and their hair is exposed to great stress, so Dyson is completely right to work with because they always strive for the hair to be healthy“

E: Dyson is really at the forefront when it comes to hair tools and several hair stylists and hairdressers have switched to Dyson's hair dryers because they weigh a little and are very effective and gentle on the hair.
You also have other favorites from Dyson I understand?

A: “I really like their cordless straightener! I can easily take it with me on sets to fix hair without tripping over wires or being dependent on electricity. ”E: It really is a pure dream! Thank you for this chat Sainabou.
