CELINE - VINTAGE MINI MOKE - SUMMER 23 'LA COLLECTION DE SAINT TROPEZ

Written by Fashion Tales

Upon arriving at CELINE in 2018, Hedi Slimane left California where he lived for 10 years and settled in Ramatuelle, in the gulf of Saint-Tropez.

For the past 5 years, the couturier has explored Saint-Tropez and a more general nostalgia for the French Riviera as a parallel to the Saint-Germain-des-Près codes of CELINE.

The small summer beach convertible car, originally designed for the military, first appeared in 1964 and quickly became a symbol of freedom and pleasure in many seaside towns, especially in Saint-Tropez.

For this special project, the car has been customized with a Triomphe wooden steering wheel, a Triomphe canvas hood and dashboard featuring tan leather elements, wicker seats and spare wheel protection. A golden Triomphe signature appears on the wheels and gear shift.
