Yesterday I went to a lecture including a preview of a new documentary on the topic of age and style.
In the movie street style photographer Ari Seth Cohen and director Lina Plioplyte dive into the personal lives of New York City’s most fashionable seniors. In an industry obsessed with youth, these older women dispel conventional ideas about beauty and aging and prove that with age comes grace and confidence.
I walked away inspired and uplifted. How fantastic are not these classy ladies !? Was totally blown away and charmed of their joy of life, humor, self-distance and glorious self-confidence. Fabulous!
The movie is released in September, my advice, go see it!Pictures from advancedstyle.blogspot.com
Here comes a bunch of pictures from yesterday's fashion show. The prestigious award went to menswear brand Castor Pollox. In a fierce competition jury awarded his drive and an impressive commitment. The collections challenge traditional beliefs and is characterized by a impressive solid job with details, cuts and overall concept. According to the jury the brand creates clothes for the true connoisseur.Castor Pollux was founded in 2013 by Henric Dahl in Gothenburg. Henric was born in the sign of the Gemini, whose shape is formed by the twins Castor and Pollux which inspired him to the brand name. The basic inspiration comes from Roman mythology, architecture and typical patterns from the Roman Empire.(The last two pictures shows the winning collection).Tonight I have been on the preview of a fantastic film. Tell you more about that in the next post!Sleep tight
