In the midst of the coldest spring she gathered her belongings together and disappeared. Okay, she made a warning. One day as we sat at the local shabby restaurant she just said: “fuck this, I'm off to Shanghai.” I was like: “ok”. But deep down, I thought “hell no!.” Actually it's both practical and nice to have a neighbor to hang out with. One may agree to meet in like five minutes, you can borrow coffee, eggs, pink dresses, strange headwear (…or whatever) anytime. Or make trips to the recycling center together. Also, it is nice having someone who has an equally eclectic style of dress as you. You can dress up together and pretend that life is one big masquerade.
Now she is back! A bit like Jesus returning from the dead she landed in a plane from Shanghai. Hallelujah!
Here are some pictures from yesterday's dinner.I got a little extra exercise because I got lost both on the way there and on my way back home. Ended up in a forest (on the way home, I can possibly blame my confusion on the wine …).The advantage was that I got to see a cute fox. Another advantage was that I wasn't assaulted, nor murdered and chopped into pieces. One might say that I am quite grateful that I am still alive at this point.Today I have mostly been sweating away in the sun. Had amazing sushi in the park and then went past some stores and bought products that might (perhaps, possibly…?) improve my appearance.Ok, now you know exactly what has happened in my eventful life since yesterday. Tonight I'll meet up with my favorite neighbor Helli who has been several months in Shanghai. Will be interesting to see if I still recognize her.Take care!
Yesterday evening we headed out to the beautiful Häringe Castle for an epic pool party. As you can see, the weather was really on our side, the rosé wine was flowing and Fredrik and Bea stood for great music all night long.Today the fantastic weather continues. Because of the heat, I have gained about seven hundred new freckles and turned into a wet puddle of sweat. Not too fresh. Also did the bad choice to ride down to the Rodeber store to buy a … coat. Um, perhaps I should have taken the opportunity to buy a warm beanie too …?However, now I'm at home, I have taken a cold shower and sipping on an ice cold coke. Tonight my dear friend Mr. T has invited me to dinner. Really looking forward to meeting him, eating his tasty food and hanging out on his beautiful terrace.Hope you are having a great weekend!
