Stockholm

Bohemian living in Birkastan in a small flat crowded with clothes, shoes and fashion magazines. Previous archaeologist now working my way in the fashion business. You'll  probably find me hanging out at local bars. I love wine and colorful eclectic outfits.

  • Last days it has felt like living on the North Pole. First there was snow, then almost arctic cold and then icy winds. In these times one can really question if there is any good reason living in Sweden at all. This morning when I had to go out I could barely move under all layers of clothes I had put on to avoid freezing to death. I felt like a penguin taking a walk - very suitable given the frosty surroundings.

However found this outfit in my camera, taken last week before the winter returned. Wearing vintage dress and feather stola, clutch from Stella McCartney, Asos head piece, ring from Bedazzled Jewelry and shoes from Marc Jacobs.

  • A few weeks ago, I was fed up with my scrawny and uneven eyebrows. I spent too much time filling them in every morning and I really wanted to do this natural look without makeup. Trendy youngsters have probably known about the 3D eyebrow tecnique for years, but for me it was a novelty. However, when I did a bit of research about it I decided to give it a try.

Thin cuts are made with a tiny scalpel to mimic natural hairs. Then color are gently brushed into the cuts. The technology is a type of tattoo, however goes not as deep as a “regular tattoo” made with a pen. How long it lasts can differ a bit from person to person, but a few years can be expected. I will go on a return visit in a few weeks to evaluate, possibly refill and make minor changes.

What do you think of the result? The final result will be visible when the eyebrows are fully healed in about a week so this is the first glimpse. It's still a bit sored and also covered in vaseline.

  • Came home to stockholm yesterday night after spending almost a week in the countryside. While I have been gone a new year has entered. Well to be honest it feels exactly the same weither it's 2016 or 2017. And I guess I will continue in about the same way, consuming red wine and chill out at neighborhood bars and restaurants.

Today I woke up late and then went out to visit the vaccination clinic to get vaccinated before I'm leaving for Jamaica. Only 35 days left! Hope this will make me survive the trip without any major health problems!

    Hope you are fine!

    Love, Karin
