  • Had a work lunch at Riche yesterday and got a warm Christmas feeling going. Had meatballs again. I'm beginning to think that I have a meatball-addiction. on the other hand side, Christmas without meatballs is not Christmas.

  • My apologies for short and random updates - life has been so incredibly hectic the past couple of weeks. New job, events and dinners, family and friends. I feel blessed! Blessed and tired at the same time. This weekend I had a friend here from San Fransisco/Shanghai and I got to be a tourist in my own home town for once. Good fun! We had seafood at Sturehof, (a must!) meatball tasting in Södermalm, a champagne evening at Grand Hotel and Christmas market at Skansen. I kept forgetting to take pictures so I'll show you my new little love that me-santa couldnt keep until Christmas instead. I will never regret this purchase - it makes me happy to look at. I almost want to eat it. Since it almost looks like candy. I'm more of a cake person, but still. Now I'm off to bed after a long, long day. Will try and remember to document this week a little bit better. Sleep well!

  • New in for the season is Clarins Extra Firming Day and Night Cream. Well. New and new, the first edition was released in 1978 but the formula is constantly improved and redeveloped as research moves forward towards the target Clarins define as “reaching the very source of firmness”.

New to this particular formula amongst other plant discoveries is Kangaroo flower which is supposed to improve the quality of the young cell clusters protective nests and is also said to reinforce the links between cells.

These are creams for women around 40, and I have a few years to go, however I have been treating my skin horribly troughout the years so I believe usage is warranted.

The fragrance is mildly flowery and rather lovely actually. I use the day cream for dry skin enriched with shea butter and the texture is a bit new to me - almost like a mix between jell-o and moisturizer but the skin absorbes it well and smoothly without leaving a greasy film afterwards. The night cream is the same for all skin types and it's lighter both fragrance wise and in texture.

I will get back to you with my thoughts on the outcome in 4-6 weeks.
