Yesterday I got back from my Germany/Chech Republic-trip, having spent time in the German city of Dresden and Chech capital Prague. I was happily surprised by the beauty of both cities, and also of the warmth and extreme helpfulness of the Prague-citizens! Here are some pictures from the past week, which hopefully conveys the cities’ charm righteously.
When in Dresden, and Germany in general, naturally inspiration comes from electro-pioneers Kraftwerk! Thus, in honour of my current placement, here comes a video of positively super-stiff song The Robots - enjoy.
Yesterday I went to Dresden to spend a few days over Easter with friends before going to Prague for two days next week. Indeed it’s a beautiful city, full of dark-grey stone-buildings turned black over time, great, antique sculptures and so far sympathetic Germans. I look forward to explore the city further, knowing it persists a vast cultural history which I do not know much of yet. Anyhow, my visual impressions of the city are so far good, and I look forward to sharing them further when back home! Until then, we found this interesting concrete wall today, consisting of an illustrated three-dimensional effect of stone-bricks in grey - a simple trick with a cool effect from far!
