Made By: Atlas Television, brought to you by Pistonhead Foundation and Luger
Written by Fashion TalesThis upcoming Friday, on the 19:th of May, Pistonhead Foundation and Luger are inviting you to Hilma, to take part in the first ever Made By event.
Both Pistonhead Foundation and Luger have always valued creativity and what creative expressions mean for a progressive culture. With this new, joint concept, the two decided to leave their previous project ‘Pistonhead On Tour’ behind, to take it one step further and create a concept where various creative expressions can work together. The result was Made By, a concept that seeks to create unique experiences where music, art and other types of expressions meet. Made By is a series of evening-events, with four stops throughout this year, where an invited creator, artist or collective will be given the opportunity to create an evening completely designed from their own creative fantasies – without boundaries.
“Pistonhead Foundation is convinced that creative souls make everyday-life better for everyone, and that different artist’s work is vital for how we experience modern culture. Luger share these values and we have collaborated with Pistonhead Foundation before, with the concert concept called On-Tour. With Made By, however, we want to take it a step further and create a concept where various creative expressions meet, and where the creators are given complete autonomy!” says Peter Björklund, Marketing Partnership Manager, Luger.
Made By is debuting the 19th of May with Atlas Television and their evening called “Atlasgruppens Tårar”. A collective consisting of the two artists Duda Bebek and Alexandra Karpilovski. They are both known as individual artists, but are also curating together under the collective name Atlas Television. Inspired by the classic film ’The Adventures of Picasso’, Atlas Television will create a unique evening and an environment based on the characteristic expression of the films scenography and surrealistic humour. Further, the night will feature a number of interesting guests. The band LINES, that recently released a new song with Dolores Haze, will also perform live.
“Using the history of surrealism as a starting point, we aim to provide space for humor as well as suffering to create a meeting point that could be played with, and played within. With a mix of short happenings and fantastic performances from a variety of invited performers, we seek to break down the hierarchical stair, and instead generate an evening with lust and thoughtless seriousness.” - Atlas Television.
Pistonhead Foundation is an initiative created by Spendrups with the aim to support progressive and contemporary artists. The second out of four Made By-stop is taking place in Gothenburg during the 16/6! This time the evening will be held by photographer Frida Vega Salomonsson and her platform and creative collective NUDA. The collective consists of a number of young creators - all of whom a creatively active in different interests. Together, they explore and find new ways to create contemporary culture.
